Hi, I am Dr. Theresa Styles dba eStylesConsulting
Here is a little bit about my background and how I can bring value to your journey in becoming a consultant.
I obtained my PhD in Professional Studies in Education Specialization in 2011- grounded in Educational Psychology and pedagogy, in relation to adult learning, metacognition, research, testing, and human factors in relation to technology engagement- diverse ways people learn and process information through human interaction with technology. With certifications in Agile Instructional Design, Adult Learners and Technology Enabled Learning. I obtained my MBA with HR Management concentration in 2000 and my BS in Business Operations in 1993.
For the past 20 years I have assisted organizations in re-engineering their processes to achieve optimum workflow and productivity through technological or Process- Oriented Change Management focusing on new technologies, new skills, and operating processes: My Process-Oriented Change Management platform entails market research & solution identification, XD UI UX Design, software integration/implementation, Instructional Design, Learner Experience Design (LX Design), UAT/Beta testing, and learning & development/End-User Training.
When I started my journey into the world of consulting it was an exciting time. I threw myself into this world without knowing my next steps. I was working in a brokerage company and I had just completed my MBA. What I did know was I wanted a change and that's exactly what happened. Not until years later that I was able to obtain a mentor and through those 6 1/2 years of his guidance- I learned more about the consulting than before.
My time under his guidance was extremely important in developing a strong foundation within the service industry. I believe I had the best of both worlds because I had those career development skills needed, however, the ability to learn how to pivot and rebrand expanded my consulting knowledge.
So, my goal is to provide tools and resources that will equip you to move forward in your consulting endeavor.
So, the reality is that you don't have to know everything at this moment. You don't have to feel as if it's all or nothing. All you have to do is take the first step.
